Volume is indexed by Thomson Reuters CPCI-S (WoS).This volume covers all aspects of sustainable materials engineering on a fundamental and technological level, with focus on the materials recycling related industries. It addresses both technological and sustainability issues related with materials recycling and value adding waste or low-grade materials as well as reinforcing materials for products. All fundamental and technical aspects of sustainable materials engineering are fair game, but the emphasis is on recycling metals and other materials for both economic and environmental reasons. The 150 peer-reviewed and selected papers consider such topics as a "green" rubber compound for making tire tread with anti-static features, the effect of spot welding current and cycles on the mechanical properties of welded galvanized steel sheets, nanoelectrode chrome photomask design and specification for biosensor fabrication, destroying pathogenic micro-organisms in contaminated water by oxide photocatalysis, and kinetic and thermodynamic studies of the adsorption of copper ions into pomelo peel (Citrus grandis).
