From the Authors: Puzzled about the origin of atherosclerosis, we applied biorheology, biophysics, fluid dynamics, and computer-assisted flow analysis to arrive at a logical explanation for why atherosclerosis begins at predictable sites in the arterial system. About the Authors: An internationally recognized cardiologist, inventor, researcher, lecturer and author, Kenneth R. Kensey, M.D., is focused on preventing and reversing atherosclerosis. Dr. Kensey has received more than 50 patents for his developments, and his medical devices are being used around the world. Young I. Cho, Ph.D., is a distinguished research scientist, a tenured professor at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and an internationally recognized expert in rheology and fluid mechanics. Dr. Cho has authored or co-authored approximately 200 papers on heat transfer, fluid mechanics, rheology, acoustics, combustion, and energy. He has been Dr. Kensey's research partner since 1989.
