Delmar's Basic Care Concepts Skills CD-ROM is an interactive learning environment that leads the learner action-by-action through 50 fundamental nursing skills. These skills include: mobility, hygiene, basic assessment, heat/cold, urinary catheter, specimens, orthopedic, and many least invasive procedures. Following the five step nursing process, each skill emphasizes Assessment, Diagnoses, Planning/Implementation, and Evaluation. Outcomes, documentation, and client teaching are also emphasized in this rich learning environment. It includes real world situations in various health care environments, including gender, age, and culture issues, that provide students with the clinical experiences they may encounter in their career.
