"I don't think I've ever seen so much blood." LAPD detective Sam Leroy returns in one of his most disturbing cases. Leroy and partner Ray Quinn are called to a murder scene in affluent Malibu. At the scene even Leroy is taken aback by the savagery of the crime. Furthermore, there appears to be no motive, and no obvious suspect. Leroy believe the two victims hold the key to their own murder, and begins his investigations with them. Before long, the trail leads them to the island of Catalina, and a children's home which has held a terrible secret for a generation...
