Successful businesses comprehensively satisfy their customers, and in so doing, make sufficient profits for further investment, and a good return for the stakeholders in the business. The challenge for management is how to achieve these things consistently from year to year, exploiting opportunities, applying best practice, overcoming problems. This report is not intended to provide a prescriptive solution for manufacturing management, rather a framework around which businesses can build their own strategy, together with examples of best practice concepts which are worthy of consideration.
