"This volume contains the Proceedings of the Beijing International Conference on High-~ Superconductivity (BHTSC '89) held in Beijing, China from Sept 4-8, 1989. Most of the invited talks and contributed papers are included, but some papers are printed with abstracts only. In this proceedings, the experiences of fabricating high quality superconducting materials including films, ceramics and single crystals, and the results of its characterization in structure, chemistry and physics are presented. The proceedings also includes discussions on the mechanism of superconductivity both in theory and in experiment, and the current results of applications of high-~ superconductors, for example, the LN2 SQUID Rock Magnetometer."--Preface
