The book is a collection of photographs which won Sean Lee the prestigious ICON de Martell Cordon Bleu 2011 award. It comprises two series of photographs. In the first series entitled "Method" where the colour red is used as a recurring theme to symbolise a transsexual's life in Cambodia, Lee takes on the fantasy role of the transsexual Shauna who longs for acceptance and companionship in the red light district, even as he leads another life by day as Sean. "Homework," on the other hand, is a monochromatic collection, starring Lee's parents and his siblings in poses they would normally never be seen striking, some of which are complete with superhero garb. The book reads not very differently from a story book, which has as many fictional components as it does autobiographical details.
