Author Description

This darkly romantic novel centres on Mei Puti, a 40-year-old, unmarried professor of literature, who suffers because her father is regarded as a dangerous member of the old elite. Suspicions about Puti's politics infect Fang Zhi, the doctor who is treating her for cancer, and who loves her.
