Argues that UK labour law must be revised to include the right of workers to be represented by a union in work-related matters. Examines rights in an international context, in particular as expressed in the EC Charter and in two ILO Conventions, the Freedom of Association and Protection of the Right to Organise Convention, 1948 (No. 87) and the Right to Organise and Collective Bargaining Convention, 1949 (No. 98).
