Bioremediation is now considered as one of the promising and advantageous oil spill countermeasure since it is a cost-effective and eco-friendly approach. The aim of this book is to address different bioremediation approaches that have been adopted for oil spill bioremediation. In addition it also elucidates upon isolation and characterization of microorganisms, monitoring oil biodegradation and factors affecting oil biodegradation.
