
'Voices Unheard' is the debut work of Poet Animesh Das in which he has explored the dynamics and complexities of the problems prevailing in the Indian Society. Poetry is not merely a medium of expression; rather it’s a weapon of rebellion, a weapon to establish your voice against the injustice. Through these poems, Animesh Das has tried to explore the dark and mysterious alleys of human mind and society. Issues no one dares to discuss about. This is a compilation of truths, a catalyst to shake the readers to its core. Divided in six themes, the poetical work encapsulates all the current issues prevailing in the Indian Society from Marital Rape and the issue of extreme poverty to the problem of Child prostitution and drugs, the burning issue of Unemployment to the recent Corona pandemic, the poet has tried to understand the problems in a better way. Besides, the poet has also tried to speak for the equal rights of the people belonging to the LGBTQI community of India, because though the Supreme Court of India has decriminalized Section 377 on 6th Sept,2018 but still it is considered 'unholy' to express love towards the person of the same sex.Similarly, there are many such issue which need our equal attention. These poems will ignite the spark of revolt in the heart of the readers and encourage them to ponder over the current situation of the Indian society and take initiative for its betterment.
