The rapid pace of globalisation has made it mandatory for the company globally while describing their market, corporate strategy, resource utilisation, operations and HR practices. Cross-cultural differences add a new dimension to the traditional HRM practices. There has been a growing interest in Global HRM among academicians as well as practitioners for the following reasons: Increased mobility of human resources across the nations due to globalisation; poor performance or failure by expatriates in foreign assignments costing global firms heavily. The success of an international business mainly depends on the effective management of HR.
