This practical book covers the design of all the unit operations present in the electronic grade water preparation facilities. This book reviews the basic theory and then stresses the application of the theory to the solution of real world industrial problems. The text is written at the level of professional engineers but is sufficiently basic so that it is useful to engineering students at the university level. In order to enhance the understanding of the material contained in this book, several numerical problems are interspersed in the text. The numerical problems discussed are formulated in such a way as to be readily comprehensible to professional engineers of electronic grade water treatment facilities, as well as university students majoring in chemical engineering. Theoretical examples presented in this book are close to those actually encountered in practice. Before examples in any section are worked out, they are first preceded by an outline of basic theoretical concepts and supplemented with design formulae. With very few established courses on this subject in the university or in industry, this book will serve as a useful basic training text on the design of unit processes in electronic grade water preparation.
