Purpose "THOU ART WORTHY, O L ORD, TO RECEIVE GLORY AND HONOUR AND POWER: FOR THOU HAST CREATED ALL THINGS, AND FOR THY PLEASURE THEY ARE AND WERE CREATED." - REVELATION 4:11 "THE LORD HATH MADE ALL THINGS FOR HIMSELF: YEA, EVEN THE WICKED FOR THE DAY OF EVIL." (PROVERBS 16:4) It was God's design from before the creation of the heavens and the earth to create a bride for his Son (EPHESIANS 5:30-32 + GENESIS 2:23-24), and to create the new heaven and the new earth. Although Adam's fall was the result of Adam's own choice to disobey God, the fall of man was part of God's design (ACTS 2:23; ACTS 4:27-28, I PETER 1:20) that a chosen people (I PETER 2:9-10) should be redeemed and presented unto Christ a pure and spotless bride. The individuals which comprise the bride were chosen [I PETER 2:9-10 ] (ROMANS 9:25-26; HOSEA 1:10; HOSEA 2:23); II JOHN 1:1; II JOHN 1:13; ROMANS 16:13] by God, according to the good pleasure of his will, before the foundation of the world (EPHESIANS 1:4-6), before they had done either good or evil (ROMANS 9:11, MALACHI 1:2-3). The LORD loved them because the LORD loved them. (DEUTERONOMY 7:7-8, DEUTERONOMY 7 through DEUTERONOMY 8). The first section T.U.L.I.P. Established by Scripture shows, in a systematic way, how the bride of Christ was created. The particular framework of T.U.L.I.P., with its associated terminology, has historical origins related to the defense of the Scriptural teaching of election, which are discussed in the section Historical Background. It is used here primarily as an aid to presenting the Scriptural teaching of election in an organized and logical way (II TIMOTHY 2:15). The doctrine is best learned directly from Scripture, as illumination is given by the Holy Spirit. The purpose of this present work is to emphasize this teaching of the Bible, directing others to see it directly from the Bible for themselves, that their faith rest not in the wisdom of man but in the power of God. (I CORINTHIANS 2:5; THESSALONIANS 2:13).
