Roger is a recently retired Search and Rescue dog who lives with his best friends: two little girls named Nellie and Winnie. They have adventures and along the way, Roger teaches everyone about first aid, health, and medicine. In Episode 1, the whole neighborhood celebrates Roger's retirement with a barbecue. An emergency develops and Roger teaches everyone about abdominal thrusts, also known as the Heimlich Maneuver.
