The body of a local teenage girl is found under the pier on the shore of Long Beach. It seemed like a typical murder until investigators started digging deeper and unravel a link towards a cold-blooded killer. Detective Dane Ocean is an unconfident, hot-tempered, young man who nobody seems to understand. He stumbles upon a murder case that he struggles more than ever to solve. He is also joined by his best friend, and partner, Tristan Frost. As Dane Ocean works to solve the murder of the young girl, he struggles with a depression that he never feels the need to explain and a possible romantic relationship with one of his colleagues, and as he digs deeper into the investigation, he is forced to reveal a secret about himself as well.
