This volume contains papers of the 2. Joint Workshop of Doshisha University and Tuebingen University on Transcultural Studies, held in November 2009. The contributions look at Japan and Germany, at the exchange of ideas and cultural forms, at their mutual influence and independent development in the age of globalization from different disciplines and perspectives.
