When several of these short interrelated plays were performed at Bottom's Dream in Los Angeles, the Times described the works as "purely pornographic," and not worthy of theatrical judgment. In fact, the plays hilariously involve sexual situations-father and son sex on an airplane in Icarus; sex with Christ and practically everyone in Three Day Jesus; human sex with a swan in Leda. But Ehn's heightened language and visual phantasmagoria imbues these plays with a highly spiritual energy that brings the works into the realm of great theater.,/P>
