THE MANIFESTO SERIES To create a Manifesto Series volume, Rain City Projects commissions a nationally recognized playwright to write a mission for or vision of what theater could be. They then edit a compilation of 5 to 8 plays, culled from the ranks of works with a link to the Pacific Northwest that best illustrate their personal manifesto for the theatre. VIVID IMPACT As a young playwright I was given two small lapel pins. The first of these pins read: Art is anything you can get away with. The second read: Just because no one understands you doesn't make you an artist. In the wide gulf between these two sentiments rests the defining principle of this anthology."
