After brief discussions of the foundational concepts of Decision Support Systems (DSS) and the current state of the field in relation to other academic disciplines, Eom (management information systems, Southeast Missouri State U.) presents a bibliography of some 3000 articles and books that have been cited more than four times in the literature and includes the number of citations in the entries, which otherwise contain just standard bibliographical information. The citing articles database he utilized consisted primarily of model-based DSS articles, thus leaving out many references to data-oriented systems.
