I will always root for the underdog because I have always been the underdog. Unwanted at conception, rejected from love at multiple angles, a life that was never wanted was born. That energy never shifted as I grew older. I have learned through painful experiences, tragedies, and loves’ starvation, everything I needed to succeed in this life; personally, professionally, and spiritually. Past, present, future. Life, growth, death. The circle of life seems so small, until we compare our lives to the world around us. Our presence is as big, or as small as we choose to make it. Big lives take hard work and dedication. While small and simple seems just fine too. I’m encouraged and intrigued by those caught in the middle. Small-Big moves over time, that is what really makes the difference. So many of us shoot for the stars. How many of us will actually make it? The traumas of yesterday plague us, the turmoils of today shape us, all in preparation for the guaranteed tragedies that await us tomorrow. Each day seems like its own battle in a long fought war, with no end in sight. I’m convinced hell is here on earth, and the Devil appears in many forms testing us routinely. Will we make it until the end with our souls intact? Or will Satan win, keeping us trapped? I write this book as a healing memoir, for myself, and for no other reason. I invite you to come along on my awkward and interesting life’s journey. I need no one’s approval. I’m not interested in sales or celebrity status. I’m here for me, and any others out there struggling who may find solace or strength from my story. My peace will be forever printed in the text of these truthful lines.
