The Chinese press was the largest foreign-language press in Sydney in the late 19th century and the only foreign-language press to publish continuously from the 1890s to the 1920s. Using rarely accessed primary source material, Mei-fen Kuo has written a landmark history on the previously untold story of Chinese-language newspapers in Australia.
