This Middle-English flavored translation contains fifty stories told by seven ladies and three young gentlemen who leave Florence during the plague to reside on a palatial estate near Fiesole. The tales are mainly concerned with love affairs, unfaithfulness and lust, often with members of the clergy. This may amuse or raise one's eyebrows. Ten 90-minute cassettes.
