The objective of this evaluation programme is to determine thefunctional reliabiltity, operational performance and potentialenergy savings of some recently introduced gas heatingappliances, which yield Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiencies(AFUE) in the range of 83-87%, according to their manufacturers. In this field testing programme, two high efficiency gas furnaceand a high efficiency combination domestic hot water/hydronicheating boiler are studied.
