Author Description

Anthony prays for his friends every weekday morning. When he has finished praying for a particular person, he sends a text message to the person as a reminder to himself that he has 'checked the box'. These messages started as quotations of famous prayers and collects, but evolved into prayers, psalms and poetry (even hymns) written by Anthony. They speak from the heart, and trace this pilgrim's progress through the language of prayer. Inspiration comes from bible readings, sermons, and listening to the Lord's still, small voice. A number of friends have suggested that these messages be compiled into a book, so that they may encourage a wider number of people. In this book, you will find prayers of penitence, praise, perseverance, piety, peace and power. May you find a special gem inside that speaks to your heart.
