This volume provides a comprehensive overview of the field of high Tc superconductivity. The theoretical and experimental state-of-the-art cuprate and fullerene superconductors are treated in detail. Among the topics covered are current experiments on the pairing symmetry, muon spin relaxation, normal phase anomalies and new superconducting materials. Superconducting mechanisms based on the marginal Fermi liquid, spin fluctuations, van Hove singularities and on the relevance of Bose-Einstein condensation are discussed extensively. Each chapter is based on a graduate-level lecture given by an internationally-known expert in the field, and is self-contained, beginning with introductory background material and culminating in an in-depth discussion of the author's current research.
