This book is intended to be a dialogue between Habermas and Korean social scientists to jointly explore whether Habermas' critical theory can be extended further into the non-Western context of development, particularly the Korean case. Concrete programs of critical theory may be better formulated today in rapidly democratizing industrial societies like South Korea than in Western countries. Table of contents Part 1.
