This group of Scriptures is a continuation of "I will FOLLOW JESUS" series. What does it look like, according to the Scriptures, to follow Jesus, today? Are there any expectations of a follower, a disciple of Jesus Christ? Scripture explains Scripture. So each lesson is a paragraph or two of scripture, in context, sorted in chronological order, where the word "follow" (and its various synonyms) appear in the same paragraph; followed by five questions. This study also includes insights that Jesus gave the eleven followers on the night He was betrayed. Each Scripture is in context, but it is best if you also read what surrounds these verses. The following is a few of the Scriptures included in this Bible study on following Jesus. A follower of Jesus Christ believes in Him, knows Him, loves Him, delights in Him, and obeys Him. A disciple of Jesus Christ recognizes that Jesus is Lord and follows His lead. We appropriate, receive and embrace what He did on the Cross in grace and love. We know what pleases Him. We prioritize Christ over all things. We live for Him, and in Him, for His glory. Throughout the Gospels, Jesus shared who He was (and is): the way, the life, the resurrection, the true vine, the Bread from Heaven, the good shepherd, the only begotten Son, the Truth, the Life, the Light. Jesus also instructs His disciples how to follow Him, to abide in Him and in His love, to receive the Spirit of Christ in us, and then go and bear fruit that glorifies the Father. When we do this, it demonstrates that we are truly His disciples. Let us continue this wonderful journey of the Christian walk - from abiding in Jesus and the Word, to being filled with Christ, and following Him. The following are some other Bible studies similar to "Follow Jesus" which are all part of the IN HIM series: abide IN Him, and Him IN us... the Christian walk: What does it mean to be a Follower (disciple) of Jes
