As a child, author Bob Salley plowed his father's field the old-fashioned way with a horse and a plow. Beginning with his early life growing up in Texas to his college years and marriage to Jan, Bob relates how his faith in the Lord ebbed and fl owed, at times even becoming stagnant. Yet he always knew God was working in their lives, even if he didn't always feel it. A failed dairy business, a new career in real estate, and the birth of their son all brought their own stresses, but it wasn't until Bob attended a lay renewal at his local church that he began to feel God's nearness. Things were looking up until bankruptcy hit in 1983. With the world seemingly falling apart around them, Bob and Jan had no choice but to give it all to God.
