Anti-Chinese is quite often heard in the politics of Indonesia. There were 3 different political system during 1900 to 1950 and they were the colonial regime by the Netherlands for 350 years, the totalitarian regime by Japan and the republic regime after the independence declaration of Indonesia in 1945. My late father Hsu Jing-Xian's work "Lahirnja Indonesia" describing the independent process of Indonesia during 1941 to 1950, which has become generally acknowledged as a classic of the modern history of Indonesia by Chinese readers. In commemoration of all his life struggling and sacrificing to protect overseas Chinese, I especially edited my essays into a book published so as to hopefully help those studying the philology and history.
