Born in 1973, Saima Huq entered Gen X shortly after the Hart-Celler Act of 1965 changed race-based quotas on immigration. She grew up without the Internet and as one of the few South Asians in her hometown of Ewing, New Jersey. This unique perspective is seen throughout her fiction and non-fiction writings, gathered here.
