Die Themen Landwirtschaft und Ernährung im Nationalsozialismus erhalten in der Forschung in den letzten Jahren zu Recht mehr Aufmerksamkeit, vermögen sie doch zentrale Aspekte nationalsozialistischer Herrschaft und der Alltagspraxis der davon erfassten Bevölkerungsgruppen zu untersuchen. Die Beiträge dieses Heftes beleuchten die Ernährung als Mobilisierungs- und Repressionsinstrument des NS-Regimes, die NS-Ära als Schwellenzeit der Agrarmodernisierung, die landwirtschaftliche Pacht als Durchstaatlichung der Agrargesellschaft, die ökonomische und ideologische Rolle des Bergbauerntums sowie die agrarwissenschaftliche Forschung im Nationalsozialismus. Das vorliegende Themenheft wirft nicht nur neues Licht auf einen scheinbar altbekannten Gegenstand, sondern vermag auch Anregungen für weitere Forschungen zur Landwirtschaft und Ernährung im Nationalsozialismus zu liefern.The subjects of agriculture and nutrition in nationalism have become increasingly important in research in recent years since these subjects help to analyse central aspects of the Nazi regime and the daily life of the people affected. The contributions in this book focus on nutrition as an instrument of mobilisation and repression of the Nazi regime; the Nazi era as a time of transformation in agricultural modernisation, the agricultural lease and nationalisation of agriculture; the economic and ideological role mountain farming as well as the agricultural research in nationalism. The present book not only shows new aspects of an apparently known subject but also offers new ideas for further research on agriculture and nutrition.
