Author Description

This volume includes contributions from 28 experts in their respective areas who present a broad range of information on planetary accretion and the origin and earliest history of the Earth. The central theme of the book is the Giant Impact model for the formation of the moon, which if correct, has important implications regarding the early history of the Earth. The book is being co-published with the Lunar and Planetary Institute, Houston.
