Product Description From his early encounters with anti-semitism as a boy in Paris in the late 1930s to his narrow escape from the fires of the Holocaust, Jay Frankston has sought to find meaning. The Offering is an expression of this quest and the many steps along the way. From Library Journal Frankston has written a true tale--a "Christmas story"--that has been translated into 15 languages. A Holocaust survivor and lawyer who gave up law, moved from New York, and now teaches at California's College of the Redwoods, Frankston discloses his lifelong quest for meaning through a sage persona who shares with profound simplicity the revelatory experiences that come unexpectedly in the midst of life. These experiences make the persona realize his connection to the whole of existence and the inexhaustibility of love. A magical book for public libraries.
