The purpose of this book is to promote the understanding of the Bible by showing the circumstances and purposes around the history and writing of each book and each writer. It is not meant to be a commentary or interpretation of verses, although it does that in a few cases. It is meant to be a skeleton of information from which Bible readers may build their understanding of each book and subject. As the readers accumulate knowledge of these circumstances, the skeleton will take on color, depth, warmth, flesh, and life that will transform it into a complete body. This book is meant to be supplemental to Bible reading and study.
