This Book has strengthened the database related to AISI 316L welds that can help understand the role of sensitization (expected to occur during actual service applications of this alloy) on the mechanical, metallurgical and corrosion behaviour of this alloy. Further, it is also relevant and beneficial for the welded fabrications that are made out of AISI 316 SS. The demand of better tensile properties from these joints can be fulfilled by adopting appropriate welding procedures, which give low heat input per unit length per weld pass.
