After more than two years on the road, trying to hide from my past, my brother convinces me it is time to come home. I am tired of running and ready to settle down. I hope that I have been forgotten. I am banking on it. I settle into a new state, a new city, a new job and open myself up to possibilities. The future begins to look bright again. I settle in and allow the joy to warm me. My brother must be delusional if he thinks this girl is going to stay. The amount of work and effort that is needed to set us back on track is more than any sane person can take on. When I finally make it in to the shop and see her it is as if the sun has found me after years of darkness. I hold back and think carefully about if this is something more or if this is just a passing fancy. The longer we go the more I know.
