Based on an overview of research, but also draws on union and other practical experience with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) management systems, their varieties, their different political backgrounds and settings, and their problems and successes, presents some of the major studies in the reference list, and also tries to support some of the claims with explicit references. Focuses more on what works in OHS management systems and what does not, and less on the practical requirements to develop an effective management system.
