Sentencing and corrections issues are much the same in every Western country and increasingly efforts are being made to import policies and practices that have succeeded elsewhere. This volume brings together articles on sentencing reform in the United States, other English-speaking countries (Australia, Canada, England, Wales, New Zealand, South Africa), and Western Europe, by leading national and international authorities on sentencing policy, practices, and institutions.
