The first edition of Key Data on Health was the result of the growing demand for a comprehensive, consistent and internationally comparable set of health data and indicators. It collected information on a wide range of health topics from organisations such as OECD, WHO, FAO and the International Agency for Cancer, as well as Eurostat itself. It not only covered the health systems and health status of the populations of European countries, it looked at life styles, mortality and health risks associated with environment, work, leisure and traffic. This is a reprinting, with amendments of the first edition.
