Disease Control Priorities in Developing Countries
<br> These two volumes examine ways in which the health transition in developing countries affects the World Bank's disease control policies. They discuss the public health consequences of individual diseases and disease clusters, measure the cost-effectiveness of disease control methods, and assess what public health problems these conditions pose. Infectious diseases, HIV infection and sexually transmitted diseases, malnutrition, and reproductive health in the developing world are analyzed and tables and figures throughout the text quickly summarize the authors' findings.
