Many people rightly cry out for social justice. But how can we achieve it? Not by a change in government or economic prosperity, but by a revival in the Church weakened by “anything goes.” However, there can be no church revival unless there is a revival in the individual Christian first. Jesus says, “Follow me.” We follow him by living his Sermon on the Mount, what I call walking the talk. In my first book, Walking the Talk: Journey with Jesus on the Mount, we see the what and why of this Christian Manifesto. My second book, Praying the Walk: Pray with Jesus on the Mount, addresses the how and is rooted in our incredible identity. When we know who we are, we will know where we’re going and how we get there with the right attitude. So who are we? God’s children, according to the Lord’s Prayer! The Creator of all creation desires us to call him not only Father, but the intimate Abba, Daddy! This book probes the Lord’s Prayer (what I call the Daddy Prayer) in depth. It is uniquely designed to include both devotional and Bible study, touching both your heart and your mind. Over the next twenty-one days, you will come to know God as your Daddy and yourself as his child. You will see yourself the way God sees you, and you will see what’s going on in your life through his eyes. You will appropriate what is really important, the gem of all gems: God is your Daddy, and you are his beloved child! We then live the life God has called us to live by walking the talk, not out of obligation, but out of love, and glorifying our Father in heaven.
