Author Description

The focus of this book is smart driving, which includes various aspects/stages of automated, driverless or autonomous driving cars. Starting with a brief introduction to a smart driving framework, the book moves on to present an overview of the critical juncture: contrasting views/expectations by different demographics, professions, and communities. Later chapters document the current developments in technological innovations and incremental applications of smart driving cars. The book also highlights the roles various institutions have played during the development of smart driving technology and their applications.
