The XPOD is a truly innovative nanosatellite deployment system. Despite the XPOD's short life, its success is absolutely crucial to the success of its nanosatellite's mission. The XPOD was originally designed to support the CanX-2 mission, but is scalable, allowing it to be adapted to both larger and smaller nanosatellites without completely changing the design. The first launch that the XPOD will be used on is set to launch on June 30, 2007.This thesis describes the entire design process of the XPOD Triple, including requirements, structural design, dynamic analysis, stress analysis, manufacturing, and environmental testing. Following this, the designs of the other seven types of XPOD are described, with particular emphasis on the most challenging of all---the XPOD Duo. The XPOD Duo is designed to support the upcoming CanX-4/-5 mission. This thesis is intended to act as a turnover document for future nanosatellite deployer designers.
