
The Information Search Process Outlined In This Book Enables Children To Take Control Of Their Own Lwarning. Researching It Through Introduces Teachers To The Processes To Be Undertaken As Students Gather, Analyse And Interpret Information. A Step-by-step Approach To Developing Skills Allows Children To: Define The Research; Gather The Information; And Present Found Information. This Is Presented In Three Ability Levels (lower, Middle And Upper Primary). Some Student Investigations Will Involve Using All The Steps But In The Initial Phases They Will Not. Developing Research Skills Will Allow Students To Become: 1) Competent Users Of An Information Search Process; 2) Aware Of A Range Of Information Sources; 3) Skilled In Using The Tools Required To Access These Sources; 4) Skilled At Gathering And Interpreting The Information Obtained From These Sources; 4) Skilled In Using A Variety Of Tools To Present Found Information.
