This volume reviews a broad range of recent developments in geriatric psychiatry. It includes chapters on health care services for the elderly, recognition of mental illness in older primary care patients, early diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's disease, the issue of competency, treatment of depression and agitation in dementia, electroconvulsive therapy for elderly patients, and the diagnosis and treatment of psychosis.
