The "Wall painting" in the Cultural Centre Strombeek attempts to reconcile the soul of both creative minds with a single work and a single architectural and visual statement. A dialogue is brought about between three distinct walls that support and amplify each other - three walls that are presented as a single array or whole. A whole as a free-standing colour installation in a room, which thus precisely redefines the room and lends it a new meaning. A meaning on the basis of architectural elements or additions, including a traditional closed wall surface, 14 cm thick, a wide distinctive wall fitted with cupboards, ending with three panels which are like paintings standing erect, or a triptych - an homage to the traditional art of painting. Each with their own character, together they form the basis and support for Günther Förg's colours.
