Broken Branches is a collectible art book by painter Luo Min, thoughtfully composed and hand-bound to revisit three of her major recent series-Memories of Southern Sichuan, Spring Outings, and Flora and Fauna. Together, they trace her poetic visual exploration across cultures and mediums. Included in the book are a limited-edition fine art print and a "Submerged Flower Pattern" handkerchief, creating a tactile and intimate journey through memory. Luo Min often uses flowers as a medium to archive the fluid transformations of memory, time, kinship, and identity. Layers of pressed blossoms, negatives, silhouettes, and botanical textures intertwine with fragments of poetry, weaving together distant childhood, present realities, and the separations yet to come-a visual experience she calls "swimming through memory." Born and raised in Southwest China, Luo Min was the first postgraduate student in oil painting at the People's Liberation Army Academy of Art and later worked as a stage designer for its performing arts troupe. She has since lived and worked between New York, Beijing, and Chengdu. Her artistic language spans traditional Chinese fine-line painting and ink drawing, classical oil painting, photography, and contemporary visual art-forming a style that is delicate, unhurried, and emotionally resonant. Broken Branches is a visual letter to time, memory, and the shifting contours of selfhood. Broken Branches is a limited-edition art book, with only 200 copies printed worldwide. Each copy is individually numbered and signed by the artist.
