"This unique trilingual publication (alternating Afrikaans and Dutch text on the one side, continuous English text on the other) offers a traveller's view of the people of the Xhariep and their daily lives. The book results from a research project, Multilingualism for empowerment, that was undertaken in the southern Free State with the financial assistance of the Province of Antwerp in Flanders (in Belgium) and in collaboration with the University of Antwerp.
