Contains the record of 16 trials (mostly of Conversos) held by the Inquisition of Aragón in the community of Daroca between 1487-1511, preceded by an introduction which gives information about Daroca - its demography, social structure, institutions, and ethnic-religious minorities. Examines the Inquisitorial concept of heresy as referring to a body of beliefs and heretic as referring to the actions of an individual. States that the concern of the Inquisition was rather oriented toward a definition of the latter. Underlines that the heretics were accused either of passive Judaization (as a result of the Converso's poor knowledge of Christian practices) or active (relating to religious beliefs and practices). Delineates the procedures of the Inquisition, from the beginning of a trial until the execution of the sentence.
